Installation requirements for schools and labs

What is Schoolsims?
Schoolsims is a company that provides online assessment simulations to schools for their internal assessments and online class simulations that are teaching resources to help the students study for these.
What needs to be installed?
Schoolsims uses a simple plug-in to Excel allowing it to be used as the front-end for an online server-based application that provides teachers and students with access to the simulations. This appears under Add-ins in Excel.
Is it trusted?
Yes. We have a trusted publisher certificate issued by Comodo that is displayed before installation. We also have QAAM accreditation from NZQA.
Installation Instructions
- Click here to download and install the Schoolsims client. If you have any difficulty please first watch the “how to install” video. This also shows you how to access the simulations.
- During the installation process, please enter the appropriate proxy setting of your network instead of using default settings.
Please test it on the teacher’s computer
- Please use the demo account to login and check if you can download one of our demonstration sims ok. To do this, go to Add-ins, click on Spreadsims and then Simulator. The login screen will come up and the user name is teacherdemo with password teacherdemo
Note: If you are having difficulty installing the client at school for multiple computers, please use the local setup. Please contact us if you any any issues installing the client.
